Tailoring a youthful websiteto an American audience
Pocari Sweat is a refreshing drink that replenishes users quickly. Its’ parent company, Otsuka, is an expert on human physiology and has been developing IV solutions since 1946. Using this specialist knowledge, Pocari Sweat was born in 1980 as a hydration drink that effectively restores water and electrolytes lost through sweat.
With sights set on breaking through to the American market, Pocari tasked the team at Propeller with a website to showcase updated branding and messaging. Utilising a new Shopify theme, the website was built with a youthful feel, clear visuals and product-first pages alongside aspirational and striking imagery tailored to an American audience.

We created story-led product pages with completely refreshed copywriting to improve the brand’s tone of voice and highlight product benefits in a clear concise way. Being a company backed by scientific research, it was important that Pocari Sweat could use their background as a unique selling point of their product.
We ensured consistent branding across multiple customer-facing channels with the integration of Klaviyo and Aftership.
