The Opportunity

Azzurri Group, one of the UK’s largest and most successful hospitality investment platforms, operates renowned brands like Zizzi, ASK Italian, Coco di Mama, Boojum, Openr, and the California-based fast-casual concept Dave’s Hot Chicken.

 

With a continuous focus on enhancing their customer experience, Azzurri Group approached Propeller wanting to improve their website’s speed. Propeller knew just the ticket to get their pages up to speed: image optimisation.

The Solution

Propeller enabled all images to be automatically uploaded into the optimum image format for the web. This one-off update to the site not only changed the file types of the existing images, but has future-proofed future image uploads, too.

 

We chose image optimisation as our strategy as we know it has the potential to improve loading speed time across the board and improve overall Google Core Web Vitals scores.

 

Propeller has created a solution to add into current WordPress solutions to automatically optimise any image which is uploaded into the CMS and serve the correct modern image format in each browser.
